There hasn't been a fresh 'the 4th suit' blog on this site for ages!!!
What have been doing or not doing!!!!
So an update is due!!!
Den our not so new drummer has settled in well and played a clutch of gigs with us, so I suppose we can drop the new boy tag, unless we are feeling like being complete bastards, then we won’t!
We have new songs written, but not recorded, we really need to get some studio time and start up loading studio quality tracks, not to dis our demos as the very essence of the band lies in those lo-fi experiments!!
On the 16th September we are heading up the motorway to the east end of London to participate in ‘Camden Callings’ third anniversary bash, they are organisation that is committed to finding solutions outside of the mainstream and empowering people through art and music to take control of their lives, though there is no simple answer to homelessness, it better to try and be active and motivational than just standing there spouting rhetorical negativity.
They are doers!!! Bloody good luck to them!!!
Check their site out:

See you all soon!!!

For me it still is about playing live, regardless of the attendance, even if its 10 to 15 people, I like to think we can whittle that down to at least half!!!!!
I agree the events pages on FB & MySpace are not that great, but it is better than nothing!!!
We just get out there and have a laugh, it is definitely a social thing for us!
We are playing loads of gigs with hopeless attendances. How to boost those attending? Beats me.
Realised that the 'events' thing on facebook is pointless, no-one visits myspace or sites that advertise gigs and pubs (or should I say, pubs that havent gone bust) make no effort other than allowing a poster in the window. Even small 'festivals' dont attract the crowds these days.
Whillst I enjoy playing to 10-15 people it isnt ideal.
Frankly, I think live music is dying. Ah well.
