new beginnings or old endings..........

When we played Croydon last time we had a small but appreciative audience the following nightin Purley we had a disaster I thought we would never recover from.... then one evening the phone rang and this voice says are you doing New Years Eve... No says I, it would cost you far too much.... actually knowing what I know now we could have done it.... but explain that to her indoors... just nipping 250 miles to play New Years Eve... wasn't ever going to work.. not this year at least...

So says the voice when are you playing here again?

How to explain the band doesn't exist except on a web page and in the hearts of one pub... so I made phone calls got prices and we are back to play a one off gig in Croydon... Chris is coming from playing guitar with rock-a-billy or reggae band somewhere else in the country the night before.. Roger has a new band on the go.. I was already travelling to play the Libertine on the Sunday and Steve well Steve just said yes... and went back to hitting things...

But you know is it a new start or just a long goodbye....
