Partysounds is a good lead thanks. But in my experience you can hire all the pros you want, but until you find one that has either had all the stuffing knocked out of him or one that really understands what you're looking for, it's like taking kids to the museum. The problem with working as a producer with talented musicians is that they are all very quick to tell you what is and what is not the 'right' way to play, what harmonises, what chords should progress where, but a jazz man will tell you something different from a rock man, from a blues man, from a classical man, from a Tuareg drummer and all of them will be right and wrong at the same time. That's what makes music more interesting than gardening.
