- "Those Beasleys" were a band in the 90s who recorded 3 albums of original music that never saw the light of day.
The name was suggested when running through old tv references, looking for a name. Though initially inspired by the Mrs. Beasley doll on the Family Affair series, the name truly refers to the extreme elitist attitude of some people, who some refer to as "those Beasleys"; the antithesis of what the group was about.
Despite their often tongue-in-cheek approach and penchant for retro/future allusions, a variety of styles and sounds can be heard throughout Those Beasleys recordings including pop, rock, techno and weird.
Each of the three main Beasleys are singer-songwriter multi-instrumentalists, as well as visual artists (sculpture, painting, cartooning, etc.) and were all public-access tv producers when they met.
