Laney VC30 - comes as a 1x12, 2x12 or 2x10. I have the latter - (with the excellent 2x10" Jensen C10Q16 speakers) wonderful 'vintagy' tone, loud as hell, superb cleans and a footswitchable gain channel. Has a good accutronics spring…

Hi Trev - & to think it only took us 2 hours at the Cherry Tree with your iphone to get you set up here! Looks like you finally got the right instruments sorted too - shame as I wanted a flutist, sax, piano, accordian & sax player! lol Rich

Hiya Richard, and a big welcome to the site.

We'll certainly give you a go with the Maggie Brown Band, the only thing is we're all a bit tied up for a few weeks.

Myself and Maggie have a big catalogue of classic blues stuff that we've done with a previous incarnation of the band. This time arouns we're going to add a little more classic R&B type stuff to the mix.

Up to now we've been looking at ten songs from our old set and a couple we haven't done before from the Baby Washington and Dusty catalogues.

In the meantime if you can furnish me with a postal address or an HTML e-mail address I can furnish you with the current twelve-song list, block chord charts (no dots), and either a physical CD or mp3's of the stuff we're currently looking at. Some stuff we don't do in the same keys as the records, but in the main will be sticking to the general feel of the records and in some cases (eg Need Your Love So Bad) will be requiring replica guitar chops.

In the meantime you could check out The Maggie Brown Band profile page at....

http://rock-til-you-drop-fansite.ning.com/profile/MaggieBrownBand

....and then if you're still interested just let me know.

I'm also part of RTYD promoted band The Dipsticks....

Best regards,

Mark Mac.
