play spiky, punky, infectious but curable pop songs reflecting on whatever needs reflecting on.
Sounding like the outcast and genetically modified cousins of Ian Dury, Elvis Costello and Barbara Windsor, Poundshop life play their own brand of "nearly new wave" music - immediate, cheery tunes with bitter and twisted lyrics and happy endings. Cheap and cheerful, but surprisingly good live.
Poundshop Life are from Bristol and regularly play at venues such as The Mother’s Ruin, The Louisiana and The Croft.
