Billy Wears Dresses a four piece band who write and perform their own material, were initially signed to Formant Records for their first single, ’Derek Don’t Deliver’, which hit the shops in spring 2008. Shortly after this they released ’This is the Song’ on the Inline Records Label. This was followed by their debut album, Space Hopper Summer, on the same label.
Out of 620 entrants, Billy Wears Dresses were finalists for the KMFM battle of the bands in 2007.
2008 saw a busy year with gigs in Kent and London, festival dates over the South East of England and headlining KMFM radio events in towns all across the county. The promotion of the debut album in 2009 saw Billy Wears Dresses performing at Lounge on the Farm main stage, The Maidstone River Festival and countless gigs in and around the Kent area.
This year’s “must have” Album is SPACE HOPPER SUMMER by - Billy Wears Dresses.
