Hi folks just signed up nice to know you are out there. I sing and play harp in GBH a Southampton 5 piece, just getting ourselves off the drawing board at the moment with our first gig on 26th August at The Woodman in the Portsmouth area as part of the Rowen Festival. Its slow going as Im still living in Nottingham and about to "retire" down south were we came from 17 years ago.

I first started out in the 60's at the tender age of 16 in Somerset, covering Peter Greens Fleetwood Mac, Jethro Tull ( its true) Jimi Hendrix and Cream. Green and Clapton have been with me all my life.

These days Im into Coco Montoya, Willy Finlyson, Robben Ford, Greg Koch, Kenny Neil, and the late great Lester Butler.

We cover the above in our own way, think blues rooted, original R&B,soul and swing, and you haqve what Im aiming for, music for grown ups, still like to rock out though. I love Black Sabbeth, only Ozzie tho, like to sing Sabbeth too. Waiting to get the tracks we recorded last weelend to put on my profile.

I would really appreciate your feed back, I don't think Ive got and ego, but I want to be as good as I can, after all Ive got a lot of time to make up for the 43 year break I took when life, work, mortgages, kids all took me away from The Blues.

Back now and can't get enough, anyone need a vocalist for a one off etc, give me a contact as I have the time at the moment.

Ray, I don't know where to start to answer that without starting to rant and rave, and pulling my hair own hair out. Maybe it's because most mature musicians can't be arsed to join an online social network? They don't see the use of it. Maybe the idea of a joining a communty of older musicians depresses them or touches a nerve, or something, I don't know? A lot of musicians and bands don't understand that being part of a network will benefit them. They don't think they need a scene. They're happy playing their cover versions week in/week out in a world of their own.... See!! There I go.

Maybe, when Paul and Kirsty of The Greedies kindly organise another ROCK-TIL-YOU-DROP-SOCIAL as they did last month in Guildford, you'll come down and we can have a chat about it over a few pints.

Until then, keep spreading the word, and keep on rocking, and let's hope we make 30 members before Xmas!! Toby
