New West End Venue for RTYD 11 Replies

So I've got this new venue in the West End on a Saturday night. I could put on nights there monthly, but my attempts to inspire a regular club-like atmosphere/evening in South London failed, and to b…

Calling all you bluesmen 10 Replies

Now it's no secret that I ain't a bluesman. The closest I get to listening to the blues is when I put on The Doors or Led Zep or Jimi Hendrix. All of which I love. However, it's obvious that it driv…

Hi,

Im putting together a Christmas Jam - just a chance to play some well know tunes with a few people you might not have played with and have a few beers. Ive got a core of drums, guitar and bass sorted and Im looking for singers, guitars (any type), keyboards, harp, brass, percussion anything really if you want to come along and have a go. Its just for fun - usual covers, stones, beatles, clapton, soul, R&B whatever…

It will be at RMS rehearsal rooms in Putney (right next to putney bridge tube) - full back line/pa provided - probs afternoon/ early evening slot then off to the pub. Provisional dates are 19th/20th or 30th or 2nd or 3rd jan.
If your interested drop be an email simonmdavies@mac.com

Cheers

Simon

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RTYD!!!!
Timothy Jones Comment by Timothy Jones on September 30, 2009 at 1:15pm
Well it being RTYD's 1st birthday yesterday, I just wanna say that I think this website has actually provided a great meeting point for those of us who are actually addicted to doing our stuff, whatever genre.

My experience with Toby's baby (RTYD that is) has been a positive one that not only encouraged me but the rest of my band, talking to guys in other bands playing on a RTYD bill garnered the same views.

So lets make it a cool 2, 3, 4, 5 years, and hopefully see even more RTYD'ers, in the future.

I think you may be underwhelmed by what you might get, lol.
Hope to see you there Colin.

Unfriendly - I really couldn't say.
Colin Gillman Comment by Colin Gillman on August 26, 2009 at 10:48am
I am hoping to be there, but mostly to poach your band's musicians lol. Londoners aren't unfriendly - are they?
