HI Jan, - here the add we are running - sounds like you might be a good fit - have a look and let me know cheers Simon !
---
we are looking for a rhythm player to replace the guy that just left - We are singer, lead guitars, drums, bass and backing singers. Whilst we are not looking for a pro neither are we looking for a bedroom strummer. We would prefer band experience but its more about a solid sound and timing that can support and compliment the band - there will be opps to do a bit of lead too - if you can sing backing vocals - great but not essential. You'd need to get up to speed on 20 songs helping build a good tight sound for gigs - we gig most months and would like to get you out with us from June onwards - then we can select more and you can contribute. Bit of stage presence would be good too - we try and give ours sets energy and performance.
The complete set list (about 30) covers, beatles, clapton, who, queen, kravtiz, police, funk, soul etc… its about good guitar songs that an audience will like. We all have day jobs, ages from late thirties to 50+ age and sex doesn't matter. We all contribute to rehearsal costs in west London - £10-£12+ a week each - there isn't money in this - it is about being good competent amateurs, playing gigs and having some fun. check us out at www.myspace.com/creaksters - its recorded live no second chances in a rehearsal room - but you get the idea - If this sounds interesting drop me a note about yourself, i.e. your playing level etc..
Cheers

Alternatively, if any band out there needs a guitarist, I play electric/acoustic, lead/rhythm, most styles except jazz. Custom Shop Strat, 1979 Gibson Les Paul, Mesa Boogie Express 525/Fender Blues Junior amps/Taylor acoustic/electric keyboards

An experienced blues guitarist and I are trying to get together a band for pub gigs, jam sessions e.g. the Grey Horse in S. London. We need drummer, bass, singer.
