We run an acoustic night just off Oxford Street by Bond Street tube at the Lamb and Flag, James St on one Saturday eve every month. We are looking for new solo artists, duo's and small bands ( up to about 4 members) to play. We provide the pa, a bass guitar and some percussion instruments like egg shakers, tambourine, Cahun..... and do the sound. All we ask is that you bring 4 to 5 mates as we are trying to build up the night. Unfortunately no pay, but its a chance to play at a central London venue. From a previous ad on RTYD we got some interest but are keen to get a larger database of artsists and  bands.

If you are interested, email me your details (mcdonnellpete@yahoo.com) and a mp3 or link to some of your music.

We have a 20 minute slot available on Sat 18th Sept and further slots in Oct, Nov and Dec (dates TBC as yet)

Cheers

Pete

I went to The Lamb & Flag last night to support RTYD members Graham Hunt (RTYD Award Winner) and Patrick Begley (The Dipsticks). The show is run by Pete McDonnell (lovely bloke) and is essentially a monthly residency for his band the Acoustic Cavemen, which showcases other acoustic acts between two of their own sets at the beginning and end of the night. It's held in the upstairs room, which isn't that big, and is full of tables and chairs, so it has a very intimate feel. The PA is top quality. There is a lot of chattering during performance though, so if those who prefer undivided attention and quiet from your audience, this is not the place to play. Despite being down what you might think is the wrong end of Oxford Street, it is really busy round there, with lots of local bars and restaurants, so there is probably some passing trade. Oh, and it is free to get in.
