I think it is worth people joining and then via the gigs and clubs scheme you can submit your set lists. Ok it is peanuts but in an industry where everyone is moaning that you can't make money out of it why are so many ignoring what has been in place for years... i.e. you, the writer, has clear entitlement for the royalties if you stuff is broadcast, bought or performed.
What do others think? Are other members of R-T-Y-D members and do they get much return?

So an update ...
I recently received my statement from the PRS showing I've earned some royalties. Now I'm not close to Sir Paul McCartney in the royalty stakes here frankly the amount I'm getting wouldn't even cover the first half of a night out on my own to celebrate :-) However there is one thing that you can't ignore, after all these years of telling people I was going to do it I am a professional songwriter :-)

I have just submitted my application and as i am gigging pretty regular and getting some local airplay i guess i am intitled to collect what my songs have earned
