I'm looking for a 50w guitar amp, something more portable than my 100w Marshall. Any recommendations, anyone?
I play rhythm guitar, and probably favour Marshall 'cos I know the sound, and I like a (slightly) over-driven rhythm guitar sound at a lower volume. But I don't like the sound of the MG50FX Guitar Combo Amp. It buzzes like a bastard.
Besides, I don't want an amp with on-board effects and stuff - I have pedals. It need it to be simple: EQ, volume, reverb, gain, not much more. Maybe with a split-channel, though. Solid state is fine, too.
And between 2-3 hundred quid.
Any suggestions, anyone?

I'm using Marshall JVM 215 combo. Kinda "all in one" 2 channels, 3 voicing each, 50W tube amp with all the trimmings. Love the sound, got many bases covered without any pedals. perhaps not the lightest combo to carry around.
