Experimental rock musician and visual artist Don Van Vliet, AKA Captain Beefheart, has died at the age of 69. If you have any Beefheart-related memories, it'd be great to hear about them.

I used to listen to the Safe as Milk album when younger, and rebought it on CD a few years ago, still listen to it. Never really got into Trout Mask Replica though.
