Charlotte Street Blues closed "for the forseeable future"!!! What future does that leave for live venues?

This is so bad!!! If a great venue like this one can't cope, what hope is there for live music in Britain's Capital City??? This is what the promoters are saying on 11th November 2010: "It
is with great sadness that we are unable to operate Charlotte St. Blues
any longer. All events and artist bookings are from here on postponed.
Unfortunately there were just too many restrictions placed on the property's Lease,
leaving Charlotte Streets owners no alternative but to shut this great
venue for the foreseeable future.
We would like to thank all the musicians, staff, sound engineers and many others for supporting the
venue so well over the past year.
We are still busy working on other live music projects, venues and next years festivals, so hope to bring
you something equally special in the near future."
The 100 Club is fighting to stay afloat: will Charlotte Street Blues be able to mount a
similar campaign? Anyone got any ideas?
