Good morning, ancient persons!

Although I am not a medical person, I have identified a complaint that appears to be peculiar to musicians.

Guitarist's & keyboard player's foot.

This is indicated by an area of hard and painful skin on the ball (BALL singular you dirty boys!) of the left foot caused by using pedals with the right foot.  This means considerable extra pressure and wear on the foot left carrying all the weight.

There must be more.....

Well - I have tinnitus... I suspect, however, that most of us on this site suffer that problem.
Yeah, think that's as much from going to gigs as from playing them. I remember the 70's as loud.

Being a pick wielding bass player using Rotosound Swing strings, the outside of my little pinkie on my pick hand gets very sore, oh and I'm deaf as a post on my right side but I blame Ted Nugent for that!!

My left hand cramps up horriblly doing sliding powerchords, but I'm just a beginner, so hopefully it'll ease off. Like shin splints it is....

I cant even HEAR the symptoms of tintinus due to the constant ringing in my ears.

Also, I play a bit of steel and my left hand cramps up after a spell of holding the bar.

This is an excellent website.  Thanks Tobes!

hi kirsty, are you doing the circulation exercise before and after playing as its most important .if you dont improve the circulation your cramps will get worse and more often as you improve your playing skills.also  a too shalow or wrong width neck will cause it depending on the style you play .get profesional advice it makes all the difference.
